Terms of Sale & License

Short version: you pay once, you can use Deskback on up to 3 of your Macs for as long as you like, and if it doesn't work for you, you get your money back within 14 days.

Who we are

Deskback is made by Khontra Sistemas Ltda, Goiânia, Brazil (“we”). Contact: hello@deskback.app.

Who sells it

Orders are processed by Dodo Payments, which acts as the Merchant of Record: it handles payment, taxes and invoices for your purchase. Your payment is also subject to Dodo Payments’ own terms.

What you get

A perpetual license. It is a one-time purchase, not a subscription. Your license never expires.
Up to 3 Macs. You may use one license on up to 3 Macs that you own or personally use. You can move a seat to another Mac by deactivating it in Deskback’s settings.
All 1.x updates included. Any future major version may be offered separately; the version you bought keeps working.

What you may not do

Share, resell or publish your license key.
Reverse engineer, modify or redistribute the app, except where the law allows it.

License checks

Deskback activates your key once and checks it about once a day. It keeps working offline for 30 days between checks. If a purchase is refunded or charged back, the key is disabled.

Deskback collects no personal data and has no account. See the Privacy Policy.

Warranty and liability

We work hard to make Deskback reliable, and its design rule is to never move a window it isn’t sure about. Still, the software is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind, to the extent permitted by law. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for your license. Nothing here limits rights you have under consumer protection laws that cannot be waived.

Changes

If we change these terms, the new version applies to purchases made after the change. Your license terms at the time of purchase stay valid.
